23rd Post - All of Life is a Popularity Contest, is that it's meaning?
Is the meaning of life just a popularity contest? From my perspective it seems to be that way, look at us humans and animals, all in competition to be most "liked" by their peers. In some ways it's a race to a form a respect at least in the animal kingdom mostly, humans are another topic completely with varying degrees of what "respect" means which I'm not going to fully dive into. Regardless it's all about everything that we "do" here on this earth that matters most, as my mother would put it, "the dash" poem and what we leave here on earth to be remembered by using our "dash". Also put "the truth always comes out" and that could be a deeper level in meaning of what life means to us all, just "the truth". People will be remembered for "what they did" walking this earth but with popularity it is a slippery slope and could be possibly another part of the equation for the square root of all evil (along with the lust for power and greed). Evil has its element of popularity and I'm calling that out here in this blog, it's time someone said something about this! I know I'm not alone!
Look at Pat Sajak, a beloved American TV show icon for the Wheel of Fortune along with Vanna White! Both viewed by millions of people and ultimately well-liked by the people! I don't have a bad thing to say about either of them! BUT look at someone like Donald John Trump and everything is the complete opposite, the man is a narcist psychopath on the evil path to try and win popularity! There's a HUGE difference here between these two examples and honestly, I don't feel I need to say much more here because you should know better. The examples of how these people lived their lives says EVERYTHING!
I'm going to continue to keep adding to this blog post as I have time...
